      Portfolio/Audition Submission for Undergraduate Applicants Applying through Common Application (non-Internal Applicants)

      Common Application applicants to programs with a portfolio or audition requirement will submit those components here. Please use the same email address you plan to use when filing the Common Application.

      Prospective students applying to an undergraduate Bachelor’s program at Parsons School of Design, Parsons Paris, Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts, the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, the School of Drama, and/or Mannes School of Music must submit the Common Application.



      Prospective students applying to the following programs use The New School’s Online application link at the bottom of this page. Applicants to programs with a portfolio or audition requirement will submit those components within this application. 
       
      Graduate, Adult Bachelor's Program, AAS, and Other Applicants
      • Graduate degree programs at Parsons School of Design, the Schools of Public Engagement, the New School for Social Research, the School of Drama, Mannes School of Music, or the College of Performing Arts.
      • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees at Parsons School of Design
      • The Bachelor's Program for Adults and Transfer Students (BPATS).


      Exchange Students
      - Exchange students are students enrolled in degree programs at another institution and wish to enroll at The New School through an existing exchange partnership between The New School and their home institution.

      Internal Ph.D. Applicants - Internal Ph.D. applicants are current students enrolled in select masters degree programs at the New School for Social Research (NSSR), applying for admission to a Ph.D. program.

      Internal Transfer Applications - Internal transfer applicants are current New School students seeking to apply to a different College within The New School.

      Non-degree Students - Non-degree students are students who are not enrolled in degree in a degree program.

      Reapplicants - Former New School students seeking to apply for readmission to their previous New School program.

      Visiting Students - Visiting students are students enrolled in degree programs at another institution and wish to apply to The New School for one or two semesters with the goal of transferring their New School credits back to their home institution.

      Bachelor’s-Master’s - Current New School undergraduates who are seeking to apply to the sequential or integrated bachelor’s-master’s programs.

      Bachelor's Master's Graduate - Current New School undergraduate students in their last semester who will be graduating, and are currently enrolled in the bachelor’s-master’s program, and are ready to transition officially into New School master’s program

      Graduates

      To apply to any of our Master's, Doctoral, Professional Studies Diploma, and Graduate Certificate programs, complete and submit the New School Online Application.
